Viet Spring Folk Ens

Viet Spring Folk Ensemble is a Vietnamese performance troupe committed to sharing our traditional music to all communities. Our signature style blends Western and Vietnamese traditional instruments together to make a unique whole.

We believe strongly in "music for the people"- and continually bring our company and pieces to various social events/gatherings, in all types of communities. Although this is a newly established ensemble, the group has collaborated with many non-profit organizations for fund raising events in the San Francisco Bay Area such as VNHELP, Pacific Links, Asian Pacific American Film Festival, Vietnamese American Professionals Alliance, the Wheelchair Foundation, and the Vietnamese Consulate.

Ensemble director and founder Van-Anh Vo is a world-class musician who has performed in many countries and continents. She graduated with distinction from the National Conservatory of Music, where she remained as a music professor. Master Van-Anh Vo holds the Vietnamese National championship title of dan tranh.
